User Segmentation

What is user segmentation?

User segmentation is the process of dividing an app’s user base into groups based on their behaviors and demographics – such as age, country, gender, paying or non-paying, app version, level, in-app purchases, and more.

User segmentation enables app developers to provide their users with customized ad experiences, by allowing them to apply different app monetization strategies for each group, or user segment. For example, app developers can choose to show fewer interstitial ads to paying users, or double the reward in rewarded videos for users in tier 1 countries.
